Tasmania’s resource management and planning legislation expressly encourages public participation in decisions. However, in order to take advantage of the opportunities provided and have a say in decisions, people need to be aware of opportunities, understand the issues involved and genuinely believe that their contribution will be considered.

Have Your Say aims to provide practical, accessible information to enable public participation in environmental and planning law. The site provides a range of practical resources to guide you through the complicated resource management and planning system, identifying opportunities to have a say in decisions that affect you, and providing tips on how to make your voice heard most effectively.
